Is it possible to learn too much? With so much information that's available and accessible with just a click of a button, it's impossible for any one person to know everything there is to know. While this is true, there is still such a thing as learning too much, to the point where you get paralyzed in terms of taking action.
 

Have you ever wanted to achieve a goal and ended up doing tons of research on how to achieve the goal? As you learned more and more, it felt like you knew less and less because when you learned a new concept or strategy, you found that there was a lot more to know about those things.
 

Often times, people will get stuck in this trap of needing to gather more and more information. There's nothing wrong with learning a lot, but when you let learning get in the way of doing, you will never get going. When you never get going, you still never start having the things you want in life.
 

A better way to go about achieving a goal is to gather some information and immediately start taking action on what information you have gathered. I realize that many times you will feel unprepared, and that's okay. The best way to learn besides having someone who's done what you want to do show you how to do it is to take action and learn from the results you get from those actions.
 

When you are able to get past that initial fear of not being perfect and just take the first step, you will be further ahead than the majority of people who are still in the preparation stage. It's good to be prepared especially in situations such as a pilot and crew making sure the plane is ready to take off, but over preparation in trying to reach a goal won't get you results. Realize that you already have what it takes to get started on your goals. The knowledge and skills you will need will be picked up along the way.
 

If a baby wanted to learn how to walk, it will never be able to do it by sitting there and analyzing how to walk. The best way for a baby to walk is to actually get up off its behind and start walking. Sure it may fall, but with every fall, it will learn what is working and what is not and adjust to it. By doing this over and over, it will eventually learn to walk. This is the approach you want to take when you want to achieve your goals as well. It works. Look around you, almost everyone knows how to walk. Learning more is great but if all you're doing is learning and not taking action, it's time to change that. Just take the first step!

I remember, having gone to a tough treck once in the remote interiors of the Himalayas.

1. Select Test Duration:  using this option the admin can set the duration of test, either fixed or indefinite.

1. Select Test Access Time: using this option admin can set the test access time for the students who are taking the test.

1. Pass Percentage: using this option the admin is allowed to set the passing percentage for the students who are taking the test.

1. Negative Marking: using this option, the admin can set the negative marks for the wrong answers.

1. Access Permission: this option enables the admin to set access of a test for particular group of students or it can be set to be use by all users. To set for a particular group the admin has to create groups and add those contact to the group.

1. Appearance of Question: this option can be used by admin if admin wants to display all questions at a time or one-by-one questions.

1. Allow Back Button: this setting helps admin to setup the option, whether the user is allow going back on the previous page, during the test. It has multiple option like user can go back with saved changes or without saved changes.

1. Question Sequence: this option allows the admin to set the sequence of questions to be appeared in the test to the student, it may be either Sequential or Random.

1. Test Status: By this option admin can set the status of the test, either publish or pending.

1. Test Result: by this option admin can set the option of displaying the result to the student appearing for the test, either displaying result after each question, or after the test, or through email or the admin can hide the results.

1. Email Confirmation: by this option admin can allow the email confirmation from the students, before appearing for a test.

1. Number of Attempts: this option helps to set the number of attempts for the student for giving test. Admin can set the values from this option.

1. Test Time: Time of the test can be set through this option the admin of the test.

1. Password Protection: the test can be set password protected, if the admin wants to give security to the access level of test.

1. Test Re-attempt Time: This option lets the admin to set the time for the student to re-appear in the test, time can be set according to admin choice.

1. Result View Format: this option enable the admin to display the result to the student after completing the test either in a Marks type, Grade type, Percentage Type, or just in a Pass and Fail format.

1. Test Comment Permissions: this option helps to set the permissions for comments on the tests publish on the site. If the admin wants the comments open in the test, he can set that from this option.

1. Show Correct Answers After Test: this option can be used by the admin if the admin wants to display the correct answers of the questions, after completing the test.

After setting up the test, the admin can view the list of test, created by him/her, from here.

1. Manage Question Banks: Using this option, the user can create and manage the question bank. Question bank is sort of place where you can populate the questions by uploading questions manually or importing an excel sheet of questions to the site.

"This was extremely unexpected," says senior author Stuart A. Kornfeld, MD, the David C. and Betty Farrell Professor of Medicine. "Why would impairment in a lysosomal pathway lead to stuttering? We don't know the answer to that. Partly because we don't know very much about the mechanisms of speech, including which neurons in the brain are involved. So we can't fully explain stuttering, but now we have clues."

The research is available online in the Journal of Biological Chemistry

Genetic clues to stuttering were first identified in a paper published in theNew England Journal of Medicine in February 2010. In it, Dennis Drayna, PhD, a senior investigator with the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders and a co-author on the current study, and his colleagues reported results of genetic studies on members of a large Pakistani family, many of whom stutter.

Among most of the stuttering family members, they found mutations in three genes involved in directing proteins to the lysosome. These same mutations were present in many unrelated individuals in Pakistan, North America and Europe who stutter, but not in those with normal speech.

"They found mutations in three genes that encode a pathway for directing newly made lysosomal enzymes to the lysosomes," Kornfeld says. "And it turned out to be a pathway we discovered years ago. So this is a nice collaboration."

Until now, one of the three genes, NAGPA, had not been implicated in any human disorder. This is where Kornfeld and Wang-Sik Lee, PhD, research instructor in medicine at Washington University, began their in-depth biochemical investigation of the mutations that Drayna's group identified.

NAGPA encodes an enzyme responsible for the last step in "addressing" proteins to the lysosome. Drayna's work identified three separate mutations in NAGPA in individuals who stutter. And according to Lee's biochemical analysis, all three of the mutations impaired the enzyme, but each did so in a different way. In general, mutations in a gene often cause the resulting protein to be folded into the wrong shape. Cells are very good at recognizing misfolded proteins and destroying them.

In this case, Lee's biochemical analysis shows that two mutations appear to trap the proteins in the cell's protein manufacturing center, though some get out before being destroyed.

"It's not an all-or-nothing thing," Kornfeld says. "Of the material that does get out, its activity is normal."

But the third mutation causes a larger folding problem and the protein is destroyed just minutes after being made.

Such findings offer a glimpse at possible future therapies for stuttering. For two of the mutations at least, the problem is not that the protein can't function, but rather that it can't get out of the cell's protein manufacturing center and go to the intracellular site where it acts to direct proteins to lysosomes. If some compound can be found that helps the protein escape, Lee's work suggests that it would function normally. But Kornfeld cautions that this type of therapy for stuttering is a long way off.

"There are billions of neurons in the brain, and we have very little idea which neurons are involved in speech," he says. "Our main finding is that these three mutations in NAGPA in people with persistent stuttering all have harmful effects. This is biochemical evidence that these mutations are meaningful, and not just markers of some other genetic change that is the real cause."

Having described the three harmful mutations in NAGPA, Kornfeld's group is now performing biochemical analyses on the other two mutated genes Drayna's group identified: GNPTAB and GNPTG. Drayna and his colleagues estimate that these three mutated genes account for only about 10 percent of people who stutter with a family history. As such, they are continuing the search for additional genes responsible for stuttering.
